The article I have chosen for the spread is the adi-zero adidas feather 2 shoe review. It's a good choice because lots of magazines have reviews on many products. But it wasn't necessarily my first choice. From the beginning I wanted but I stumbled upon it and it grasped my attention. Therefore, it was the choice to go with. And basically what it talks about is the brand shoe but also it talks about the advantages and disadvantages of the shoe.

Text testing on earrings

Inspiration from Alexey Brodovitch

This is the work from Brodovitch that inspires me. The reason to that is because of the high colour contrast between the black and white in the photograph. But also the pose and shape that that the lady forms with her body and prop offers a new dynamic to the image. It grasps one's attention and you cannot not deny the beauty of the photograph. Because usually it isn't a common shape that people are to see therefore, it is the reason why the picture makes a person curious to stare at the photograph.

Depression Thumbnail Sketch

This was the original sketch I have drawn for the layout. The main idea mostly remained the same. having the lower person being the one in depression, and the the second person being the one helping out the depressed person. Except for a few details such as the lines and typography modifications, the concept and the making of stayed the same. The typography and shapes were used to create the Bauhaus/Constructivist style intended.

Depression poster layout

Here is my poster layout. It talks about depression as an illness. But the message that I am, trying to convey is that no matter how depressed you are, there is someone there for you to pick you up. It also important for that person to know they aren't alone, and that depression is curable.  This poster can be seen anywhere down a street, in clinics, to hospitals, and even on public transportation in order to maintain a high visibility.

Bauhaus/Constructivist Poster Inspiration

This is my Bauhaus/Constructivist inspiration. The designer is unknown. But what makes the design attractive, is the use of few colors, the blending of the shapes with the typography, and how each shape connestc to another one.

The Spirit of Geneva by: John Heartfield

This collage was done by John Heartfield in 1932. He played an active in the famous Dadaism group and in creating staires. Heartfield used his collages as a weapon during and prior to the Nazi government leaded by Adolf Hitler. This image was to represent the city of Geneva in Sweeden. It was where most of international connections were located such as the League Of Nations. This collage was to reprensent the spirit from the organizations who worked with ''pacifist ideals''.

Humanistic typography

This is the Humanistic typography that I prefer. It is the Centaur MTStd-Italic

Fred Deltor: Inspiring

Deltor's image ''Political Ilustration'' is inspiring to me because it sends a sublte message about having a two faced person. What I like most is the simplicty it projects but, at the same time it is aesthectically pleasing to look at. The colors aren't too imposing but it does give contrast to the image, and it lets your mind look for form and context.
